Controlling The Floor And Crowd Flow In Trade Exhibitions

The role of trade shows can sometimes be quite mystifying. An event which sees so many resides in a single venue; you would think that they are done to benefit the customers when in fact trade shows and exhibitions are geared towards obtaining the maximum benefit possible for the participants. Trade shows have become quite a spectacle these days and no longer restricted to mainstream items and staple products such as automobiles, housing and computers but also services - education, trade, tourism - as well as manufacturing products from pretty niche group of customers. In the latter cases, attendees are often invited to the event with walk in still welcomed due to the specific nature of its show in the first place.

Trade shows do a couple of things to their participants with the major item being promoting their products and services in a big way and directly to the potential customers. These events would normally become lead sale generating exercises, whereby potential customers are wooed by well trained customer service executives for either immediate sales or even future appointments. Some product launches are so successful that a good run can be had within the two to three days of the trade show.  The most important aspect for trade organizer to given such benefits to the participants is in the general layout of the event so that while the star attraction gets their due attention, the smaller and fringe players are not left out in securing some much needed highlights. The placement of the trade show booths is therefore a very important facet of trade show organizing.

A good way to do this would be to have a castle-based layout whereby the booths are placed in such a way that which ever entry points a customer enters or starts from, he or she will end up at the star attraction/platform/exhibits. The many trade show booth truss must therefore conform to a layout that promotes controlled flow of crowd movement. Never make the main exhibitor the first placing in terms of entry and this would kill the smaller participant and, with them, the trade show.

By convention truss in exhibitions and trade shows would depict the level of product and services on offer, with some small businesses contend to even operate from small kiosks. These could be utilized in the rectangular spots which are often the case in huge halls. Using small kiosks at these corners would fill up the vacuum otherwise created by these zones which precludes the standard 10′ trade show exhibits booths which dominates the industry these days.

With some many exhibitions going around in a year, trade organizers could either contract the leasing of such trade show truss or purchase them altogether; the latter option makes sense if you have an established event with ready participants and whereby you roughly know just how many exhibitors can be considered as nominal number for a grand trade show. Leasing trade show booth truss however is a more cost effective measure especially if the organizers are not equipped with the kind of storage facilities needed to store the items. Which ever the option chosen, what is most important is that it would facilitate towards the ease of setting up the good many booths for the participants promised with a good event.
